14th International Conference on the Environmental Effects of Nanoparticles and Nanomaterials from 01.09.-04.09.2019

Event

The 14th International Conference on Environmental Effects of Nanoparticles and Nanomaterials - ICEENN 2019, is the largest annual conference on the environmental implications and applications of nanotechnology. ICEENN brings together researchers, industry and regulators to discuss recent advances in our understanding of the fate and behavior of nanomaterials, their applications and possible effects in the environment and the key issues relating to maintaining the economic and social benefits of nanotechnology.

The conference series started 2006 in London and alternates between the European Union and the United States. The Department of Environmental Geosciences at the Center for Microbiology and Environmental Systems Science, University of Vienna, organizes this conference for the 3rd time after 2009 and 2015. This time we welcome about 120 participants from 23 countries with 7 plenary lectures and more than 50 talks.

Conference Venue: 1090 Vienna, Althanstraße 14, UZA II, Lecture Room 8

This year the conference joined with the Concluding Conference of the largest European Project on Nanomaterial behavior and fate in the environment – NanoFase. NanoFase is concerned with the safety and application of Nanotechnology in the environment. The Conference will be held from 5th – 6th September 2019 in Vienna, Austria and organized by the Department of Environmental Geosciences, University of Vienna.
