New Publication In Environmental Microbiology: Copper limiting threshold in the terrestrial ammonia oxidizing archaeon Nitrososphaera viennensis

12.02.2020

Dr. Carolina Reyes and Prof. Stephan Kraemer from EDGE published a new research article together with colleagues in the Archaea Biology and Ecogenomics Division, Department of Limnology and Bio-Oceanography (Uni. Wien) and North Carolina State University (USA). This study shows for the first time that a soil archaeon is adapted to low Cu concentrations and discusses the implications behind these findings in terms of Cu bioavailability in soils.
