Dr. Naresh Kumar from EDGE, participated in a study along with collaborators from University of Tasmania, Macquarie University, and University of New South Wales in Australia, and Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology in India on Cr(VI) removal using constructed wetlands. This study suggest that the use of conductive materials in constructed wetlands enhance the treatment of Cr(VI) by facilitating electron transfer and allows higher microbial activity even at toxic Cr levels.
