07.09.2022

Successful applicants get a 4-year position and a €100k research budget: Excellent early-stage postdocs may now apply for a position in Environmental Micropollutants in the context of the Moritz Schlick early-career programme (MSECP). This new funding programme ensures intensive mentoring and exceptional financial support. The vacant position is based at our Division of Environmental Geosciences (EDGE).

Do you have an excellent track record with an international reputation in the field of environmental pollutants and high potential for an academic career? Does your research focus on environmental transformation and mobility of anthropogenic pollutants, fate and remediation of vPvM/PMT substances, perturbations of environmental systems by xenobiotics, (eco)toxicology beyond single organisms, or interactions between micropollutants and geochemical interfaces? We are particularly interested in a candidate with a research focus on emerging contaminants and solutions for a healthier environment.

The MSECP encompasses a 4-year postdoc position with a 2-year extension option after a successful internal interim evaluation. It provides outstanding financial support, making a one-time financial contribution of € 100k available to the recipient in addition to their salary. The position offers intensive mentoring and training for third-party funding and other areas of expertise (especially leadership skills) by mentors, the Research Services and Career Development, as well as other service units at the University of Vienna.
