Before joining EDGE, Philipp worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Geo- and Environmental Research Center, University of Tübingen (Germany), from where he also received his PhD. During this time, Philipp developed methods for compound specific isotope analysis (CSIA) of legacy and emerging pollutants and applied these methods to study processes governing their environmental fate, such as abiotic and biotic transformation.
