Welcome New Group Member: Gwen Jezequel
Gwen Jezequel joined EDGE as a PhD student in October 2025. His doctoral research, supervised by Göksu Çelik, Michael Zumstein, and Thilo Hofmann, focuses on the membrane affinity, cellular uptake, and toxicological effects of tire additives.
Gwen holds a Master’s degree in Human and Environmental Toxicology from the University of Angers (France). He carried out his research within the Pauliina Damdimopoulou research group at the Karolinska Institute (Sweden), applying advanced cellular and molecular biology techniques to develop and optimize an in vitro assay for screening endocrine-disrupting chemicals. His work focused on novel biomarkers of ovarian toxicity, providing new tools to improve the detection of female reproductive toxicity.
