Today, Thilo Hofmann from EDGE talkes about the possibilities of waste water screening to predict drug consumption trends in Europe on ORF 2's "Mayrs Magazin". In March 2023 the EU drugs agency released data from over 100 European cities, for the first time including Vienna. Waste water screening is an emerging field of research in the last decades, and has shown tremendous potential in the COVID-19 pandemic.
