Miroslav Brumovský joined the EDGE Hofmann group as a postdoctoral researcher involved in the bilateral FWF/Czech Science Foundation project ModelFace. He completed his PhD in 2017 at Masaryk University, at the Research Centre for Toxic Compounds in the Environment (RECETOX), where he studied the occurrence and distribution of emerging contaminants in marine waters. His research interests include the fate of antropogenic contaminants in environmental systems and the application of novel materials for their removal. His current research activities focus on investigating the removal of chlorinated hydrocarbons and chromium(VI) using advanced nanoscale zerovalent iron particles.
